Psychiatrist That Takes UnitedHealthcare in Delray Beach & Boca Raton

Valor Mental Health is in network with UnitedHealthcare for psychiatric evaluation and medication management — including Optum, UBH, Oxford and All Savers. We verify your specific benefits before your first appointment, so you know what the visit costs before you commit to it.

UnitedHealthcare, Optum, or UBH — which one covers my visits?

This trips up almost everyone. UnitedHealthcare typically administers mental health benefits through Optum Behavioral Health, previously known as United Behavioral Health or UBH. So your card may say UnitedHealthcare while your psychiatric visits are processed by Optum, and when you call member services they may tell you to contact Optum instead.

You don't need to sort this out yourself. We are in network with all of them — UnitedHealthcare, Optum and UBH. Call and we'll confirm which applies to your policy.

Also UnitedHealthcare companies, and also in network here: Oxford Health Plans and All Savers. If your card carries either name, you're covered under the same arrangement.

What's covered

As an in-network provider, these services are billed directly to your plan:

  • Initial psychiatric evaluation — 45 minutes
  • Medication management and follow-up visits
  • Treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and insomnia
  • Telehealth appointments anywhere in Florida

What you'll actually pay depends on your specific plan. Copays, deductibles, and prior-authorization requirements vary from policy to policy, even within the same insurer. Call us and we'll verify your benefits and tell you your cost before you schedule — not after your first visit.

If you'd rather not use insurance

Some patients prefer to pay directly — for privacy, or to avoid a diagnosis going into their insurance record. Our self-pay rates are published:

UnitedHealthcare, Optum, UBH, Oxford and All Savers are named here for identification purposes only. Plan administration varies and your own policy documents govern. Being in network does not guarantee coverage for every service — benefits, deductibles, copays and prior-authorization requirements are determined by your individual policy, and any amount your plan does not cover remains your responsibility. Please confirm coverage with your insurer. This page is informational and is not medical advice. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or dial 911.
