Optum Psychiatrist in Delray Beach & Boca Raton

Valor Mental Health is an in-network Optum provider for psychiatric evaluation and medication management. If you've been told to find an Optum behavioral health provider in Palm Beach or Broward County, you're in the right place.

Why your plan sent you to Optum

Optum manages behavioral health benefits on behalf of a number of health plans and employers. That's why people are often told to "find an Optum provider" even though their insurance card says something else entirely — UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, All Savers, or an employer plan name they don't recognize as related.

Some employee assistance programs route mental health visits through Optum as well. If your HR department or an EAP counselor gave you a referral and told you to search the Optum network, this practice is in it.

Not sure which network you're actually in? You don't have to work it out before you call. Give us the information on your card and we'll verify your benefits directly — including whether your psychiatric visits run through Optum, UBH, or your medical carrier.

What's covered

As an in-network Optum provider, these services are billed directly to your plan:

  • Initial psychiatric evaluation — 45 minutes
  • Medication management and follow-up visits
  • Treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and insomnia
  • Telehealth appointments anywhere in Florida

What you'll actually pay depends on your specific plan. Copays, deductibles, and prior-authorization requirements vary from policy to policy, even within the same network. Call us and we'll verify your benefits and tell you your cost before you schedule — not after your first visit.

If you'd rather not use insurance

Some patients prefer to pay directly — for privacy, or to avoid a diagnosis going into their insurance record. Our self-pay rates are published:

Optum is named here for identification purposes only. Network administration varies by plan and employer, and your own policy documents govern. Being in network does not guarantee coverage for every service — benefits, deductibles, copays and prior-authorization requirements are determined by your individual policy, and any amount your plan does not cover remains your responsibility.
